RARE, one-of-a-kind 500L historical Porto casks. Once owned by an arm of the Portuguese government, Junta Nacional do Vinho (JNV, the National Wine Board). These are mixed wood cooperage that contain Chestnut, Macacauba (South American oak), and Piunço (Portuguese oak). With the JNV disbanded in 1986, many wine makers continued to use them, meaning these casks are range from 32 to 60+ years old. All casks are still fresh, recoopered to assure quality and available on special request. LIMITED casks are available. When these unique pieces of European history are gone, they’re gone!
